Voyagers – Young Toddler Program

Spokane Child Development Center’s Young Toddler Program

Our Young Toddler Program provides a nurturing, loving and consistent environment!

The care that young toddlers receive during the first part of their lives greatly influences the way they view the world, relate to others, and succeed as learners. When the care young toddlers receive is nurturing, loving and consistent, they flourish!

Your Child Will Be Nurtured In Our Young Toddler Program!

In our Young Toddler room, the goal of our staff is to nurture each individual child with personal care. Our teachers work on building a trusting relationship with each child, creating environments that optimize brain development, support exploration, and ensuring the children’s health and safety.

The teachers guide learning in a way that lets children experience excitement, joy, and a sense of competence.

Families Play A Role In The Young Toddler Program

We believe that to serve very young children well, we must develop a meaningful partnership with their families. Families are always welcome and are encouraged to spend time in the classroom if they can. Our young toddler teachers take time to talk with families each day. They also fill out daily charts that let families know exactly what went on with the children throughout the day so that care can be continued at home.

Our Voyager classroom is equipped with numerous developmentally appropriate materials and equipment to enable the children to learn and grow. We feel that the quality of care is more important than quantity of children. Activities and interactions with young toddlers take place in the classroom and outdoors. Young toddlers play outside on the large, fenced playground that was built especially for younger children.
